When her husband told me that Nancy had inoperable cancer, I was terribly sad. She was brilliant, creative, and possessed of an acerbic wit. She was so strong and vital, it was hard to believe that we were going to lose her. "Nancy's Healing Angel" was my attempt to create an image of the angelic healing presence I sensed was with her. I gave her the drawing, so I have reproduced it here from a photocopy. The rest of the drawings were scanned from the originals.
